So that's a Tiger Moth, an insect which gave its name to an aeroplane?

But at least you could lie down - they are very good at being in places where you have to lean or reach up with no support at all!!! But some fine shots there, you can really see the details. It looks like it's made from thick brushed cotton.

It was not at all comfortable, an articulated screen on the camera and a low tripod would have made life easier. It was first spotted by my brother Steve when he arrived on a visit yesterday, had to say that, as he wanted credit for spotting it.

The texture is quite superb, also love the blue colouring above the body.
