I went to Bicton Park Botanical Gardens Budleigh Salterton Devon today. Thr whether was very bright and sunny all day
I went along the Nuthatch nature trail and found why it was given this name. There were more Nuthatches than I have seen ever before in one sighting. I didn’t get to see all of the birds that visit just as few. But it was fun too watching them fly back and forth to the feeding station which some of the time they had to share with a baby squirrel.
Bicton Park is not a wildlife centre but does have a nature trail and a hide for those who enjoy watching or photographing birds. There is even a miniature woodland railway and a large lake where you can observe Ducks, swans, Coots, Little Grebe, Moorhens and waterfowl of suchlike. There is also a kingfisher
If you are keen on birds and down in the area it is worth a visit
