Six-spot Burnet- Zygaena filipendulae

I was checking out Bumble bees and such when this brilliant red flutter flew past me into one of the thistles. I knew it must be one of these little moths, luckily it eventually landed .
This is a day flying moth and is vividly coloured so a to warn birds that t is toxic and a very bad taste. I find them fascinating but they are very small.
