This is one of my favourite photo's, not one of mine I may add, but sent to me by a friend.

Excellent 'sniper'. Where does your friend see Tree Sparrows at please, not your regular everyday sighting, unless you live in a local area where they have colonised.

Hi Merlin, he lives in the midlands and most of his photos are taken in a nearby reserve, it has been a long time since i have seen Tree Sparrows outside reserves, I only know of one pair in my local area- and they failed to breed this year.

The reserve is Belvide Reservoir Staffordshire taken in Feb. March this year
