The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.

    Default Redpoll

The Redpolls visited my garden about 4. weeks ago, at the most there have 7 at any one time. They love they nyger and sometimes feed on the hearts, as the weeks have gone I have noticed the males getting more colourful. Like the Siskins they are very tolerant of me and will carry on feeding when I am only about 4ft away from them.

Nice shots, Babs, especially the first and last - so clear, you can almost feel the soft feathers of that bird!
