I love Song Thrushes, Beryl. These are nice pics too.

We had three in the garden the other day - our usual elegant bird with a pale breast and two 'visitors', both of which were slightly smaller and darker in colour.

I thought the two strangers might be younger birds, but someone said that the incomers were possibly from Europe, escaping the worse of the winter weather there.

Apparently continental birds are smaller and darker than our resident Song Thrushes - and I didn't know that! (Here they are anyway, the darker bird on the planter. What do you think?)
