Sparrowhawk trapped in shed

Was having lunch and could hear a lot of panic and chirping outside, eventually my brother noticed that there was something flapping in the garden shed.

Got hold of the camera and managed to catch a couple of short video clips, I opened the door and he still kept flapping in the window. In the video just after I say it's a young male, you can hear me bang on the now open door to my right to draw his attention to it, he hears it, takes a look behind him and off he goes.

It had obviously chased a sparrow into the shed through a hole in the side, the sparrow emerged some ten minutes later when he knew that the coast was clear.

I'm sure he was a little, but you wouldn't have wanted to stand in his way.

Have to agree there. I would probably have benn 20 feet away. Those birds go for your eyes because they are shiny I would think, if frightened

My youngest son J J hated my bird. they always flew to him the minute he came through the door . He used to where specs. He's OK now he had laser traeatment and I don't have any birds
