OK, so it's a Crossbill, all new territory for me here, I'll take a punt at Parrot Crossbill Loxia pytyopsittacus.

I think you're right, Rolf! It is a stout bird with a stout beak!
(Crister DOES seem to enjoy confusing us with birds in the shade though, doesn't he?)

Större korsnäbb Loxia pytyopsittacus

Gulls are not really my thing, but I'll take a guess at first and second winter Herring Gulls - Larus argentatus.
They do look alike many of them Gulls but this is not an Argentatus
Glaucus Gull - Larus hyperboreus?

Cannot find it. Checked here - Birds of the World: Family Turdidae - THE THRUSHES
Will just have to leave it to Rolf!
I think the black throated and red throated are close to being the same species Catherine. Black-throated Thrush (Turdus*atrogularis) - BirdLife species factsheet

Here is a nice bird
Looks like my old friend the Red Kite, a major success story here in the South of England, not uncommon to see 15 or more circling above us in Tilehurst. Beautiful birds. Milvus milvus.
Yes, a great bird !
Röd glada Milvus milvus
Have this quizz while we wait for the next bird
I have a BIG christmas tree on my land It is a really Big tree, at least 45 meters tall and 10 meters on the ground level . A nice thing to have in the garden.
Well, inside that tree we have (every night) at least 15 birds. They like to chit-chat so there is a Always sounds from the tree. I never seen the birds, they just sleeps there. Now what kind of birds are those chatting animals ? They don´t care about night-time, they "talk" even when it is dark outside.
Could be any of several groups of birds Cris, Sparrows, Wagtails, Goldfinches, Starlings, Blackbirds and even apparently Wrens, would be nice to hear a recording of it.
Yes, a recording would be nice. I´ll try to fix it using my phone !
and, a weekender as well (rather bad pic, I´ll try to find a better one)
Maybe this is a better pic ?
Sorry Cris, missed the earlier post. Think it's a Hawk Owl, Surnia ulula.
And a Great-spotted Woodpecker in the background.
Dunno about the pecker but the rest was OK
Hökuggla Surnia ulula
Here is one of my favorit birds
Very powerful
Not good on Eagles, as not seen many, but will take a guess at Spotted Eagle. Aquila clanga.
Nope, this one is Bigger
OK, well one of the really big boys is the White-tailed Eagle, Haliaeetus albicilla. Also nicknamed the flying barn door.
Yes, small dogs beware !!
Havsörn Haliaeetus albicilla
