You are are ever so kind!
I can only guess Yellow Wagtail (juv.) then as it doesn't have much yellow yet.. - Motacilla flava
Good news ! We have a winner
Gulärla Yellow Wagtail Motacilla flava
Well done !
Ooooooooooooooooooo, thank you!
Now I'm waiting for the next one!
We shall not let a Lady wait
I have to guess Lesser Whitethroat - Sylvia curruca - as it looks more grey than the other one.
Though Rolf will probably confirm it's the other one!
Wouldn't disagree with that Catherine.
Well, if Rolf say it is OK then I just have to agree
Ärtsångare Lesser Whitethroat Sylvia curruca
Well done
Hoho It is Thor´s day so let us have a Thunder Bird
That took a bit of finding, had to look for the ones I definitely didn't know. I think it's a Ruddy Shelduck, Tadorna ferruginea.
Sure is nice color
Rostand Ruddy Shelduck Tadorna ferruginea !
Well done.
This great bird will not be that hard to find
Well, is doesn't look like an Osprey...., so must be a White-tailed (or Sea) Eagle - Haliaeetus albicilla.
Biggest bird we have here in the Nordic area, small dog should be kept away !
Havsörn White-tailed Eagle Haliaeetus albicilla
Well found !
It is Monday again !
Looks like a Ruff, but a strange one. Philomachus pugnax.
It is, why strange ?
Brushane Ruff Philomachus pugnax
Odd marking Chris, but I guess there are regional variations.
He's very handsome though - quite a stylish jacket!
Celebrating the first real snow () with this bird.
my gut says nightjar Caprimulgus europaeus
Sorry but it is not
This is an odd one, only partial match I can find is a Gyrfalcon Falco rusticolus.
Could it not be a Little Owl - Athene noctua?
Some things match, but there seems a lot more white on it.....
Yes Catherine, it is an owl but not that one
Good lead on Owl Catherine, wouldn't have thought to research them. Think it's a Hawk Owl, Surnia ulula.
Oh, you know how much I like to be kind to you, Rolf!
With Crister's hint, I wondered if young Snowy Owls had mostly brown feathers, but couldn't find a pic of any - so you are most probably right - again!
It is nice to have helping friends
Hökuggla Northern Hawk Owl Surnia ulula
Hawk owl in Swedish
Good finding !
Here is bird #2 in my list
Well, I know THAT one!
It's a Brambling - Fringilla montifringilla
Yes, You do !
Bergfink Brambling Fringilla montifringilla
Well done !
A weekend teaser for You all
Not that I've seen one, but could it be a Snow Finch? Montifringilla nivalis
A nice try mate but not really what I wanted
Snow Bunting (juvenile?) - Plectrophenax nivalis
That´s better
Snösparv Snow Bunting Plectrophenax nivalis
Well done !
Here is the usual (!) Monday bird
Looks like a Carrion Crow, Corvus corone.
Svartkråka Carrion Crow Corvus corone corone
