I really don't know this one as all greenish-brown Warblers look the same to me - but that eye flash looks similar to ones in pics of
Cetti's Warblers (Cettia cetti)
which I've seen.

You may well be right with that guess, Rolf. I didn't see the yellowish/green shades which would have been a clue.
It has a stubbier beak and pinker legs than a Siskin too.

Yes you're right Catherine, new picture makes it a Kite, not a red one, so perhaps a Black Kite Milvus migrans.

OK. We don't have any Black Kites in the wild in Britain.

No Red ones down here yet either, but you see plenty of those, Rolf, so you should know!

It is a strange world we live in
You name it Black and we called it Brown. Anyway it is not the Red one for sure even if they mix sometimes, maybe that´s why we called them brown ??
