Fjällgås Lesser White-fronted Goose Anser erythropus

This Monday bird is not that common in Sweden. Still it is here and now
She is getting bored and will soon be gone !
This looks like another Ferruginous Duck - Aythya nyroca
So I noticed
It ain´t easy to remember what I call them, can´t use Swedish as a help anymore. You guys learn quick
Anyhow, stay tuned, I will be back in better order
On a sunny Monday !
Difficult one, these waders look so similar.
I'm going to try...
Temminck's Stint - Calidris temminckii?
Sorry but I must say no.
Hint:: This is a colorfull bird
Knot - Calidris canuta?
- but possibly knot that one either....
Hmm, I can´t see no color in that name ?
So, it is knot right
One man come running into the harbor, where is my boat he asked ?
It has left said a sailor.
Are You shore ?
OK. I get it. You mean 'colourful' that way?
What about.... Green Sandpiper then -Tringa ochropus?
Hope I write what's right tonight!
Rite You did
Skogssnäppa Green Sandpiper Tringa ochropus
Well done !!
Here is # 6
Female Snow Bunting? Plectrophenax nivalis
Yes it is !
Snösparv Snow Bunting Plectrophenax nivalis
Last winter bird I hope (for a while)
# 7 is supposed to be a 28 years old ????
Well haven't seen one of these, the general familly are amazing birds, think this is a Sandwich Tern - Sterna sandvicensis.
It should be more common in Your area considering the Swedish name
Kentsk tärna Sandwich Tern Sterna sandvicensis
This next one must be more common (worldwide?)
Linnet - Carduelis cannabina (I think....! )
(I am sure we saw Sandwich Terns dive and annoy other birds on the scrape at Milford on Sea early last year, Rolf. Can't find the pics just now, but will keep trying!)
Your thinking works 10/4
Hämpling Common Linnet Carduelis cannabina
Well done I say !
Got this for You
Looks like it could be a Goshawk, Accipiter gentilis.
Perhaps it does but it ain´t
Then I'm going to sneak in with Sparrowhawk (f) - Accipiter nisus
(Don't know why is was given that name as it ISN'T very nice!)
I've just found Greenfinch feathers on the lawn, and I know what bird left them there.
Mind you, if Sparrowhawks would eat Rooks, Magpies and Squirrels, I'd look at them in a different light!
Well, we all must have a living whether You are a Politician or a sparrowhawk
Sparvhök Eurasian Sparrowhawk Accipiter nisus
Well done !
Monday again, think they tend to come faster and faster
I believe that is a Jack Snipe - Lymnocryptes minimus.
I think you're right, Rolf.
I've only ever seen the common ones.
Yes it is !
Dvärgbeckasin Jack Snipe Lymnocryptes minimus
Good finding.
Lovely weather and a lovely bird !
I'll have a guess at Chiffchaff - Phylloscopus collybita
As always a good "guess"
Gransångare Chiffchaff Phylloscopus collybita
Swedish say that You can find this bird in a pinetree, singing for love
Saw this pne sitting on a highway fence
Summertime and the living is easy .....
I'm going to guess Buzzard - Buteo buteo - but I cannot see any lighter markings on its chest to confirm that for me....
Can I help ?
Now that looks more like a Golden Eagle..... Aquila chrysaetos
Nice bird anyway - not one we see in our garden!
It is, of course, not a Golden Bird
