    I'm thinking it's a Brambling - Fringilla montifringilla - Crister, though its head and beak look much blacker than any we see here.
    Or have you made up another name for it?

    There can't be many left for you to choose from - and if you don't like the Latin names then it's not OUR fault, but that of someone from a country in Northern Europe I think!

    Perhaps, had he given them Swedish names, we'd all be naming them in Swedish now. Food for thought
