Nope, think I've found it, it's a Short-eared Owl, Latin name Asio flammeus.

Well, I know it's a Rose-coloured Starling - (Sturnus roseus) - because I was reading about those recently on Bird Guides!

Seen lots like it, but can't really pinpoint what brand of little brown bird it is. Could perhaps be a spotted Flycatcher, but doesn't have much of a visible eye ring.

I'm giving it a guess - so if that's ruled out it should be easier for Rolf to try!

Grå flugsnappare Spotted Flycatcher Muscicapa striata

Well spotted Rolf, even if it was not that spotted

In Swedish we call it Gray Flycather, it is the bigger of them all but normally we just see the black and white one ( Svartvit flugsnappare European Pied Flycatcher Ficedula hypoleuca) I remember when I first saw their eggs, lovely blue color. (and small)

Well, didn't think it had a Warbler's bill, so lack of eye ring or not, Spotted Flycatcher it is!

    Good guess, Rolf!

Of course, I've never seen one of those 'live' - so that's my excuse!

It's a member of the Plover family, I would say a Ringed Plover, Charadrius hiaticula, although the black tip to the beak is covered by sand.

Left hand bird is a Shoveler female (Anas clypeata) and not sure about the right hand one, could be perhaps a Blue-winged Teal (Anas discors).

Have a great weekend Chris, hope the weather is summer like.
