It's not just shy - it's obviously guilty of something and doesn't want to be recognised!

No underwater pic of it as well?

No hint needed 'yet', Crister! Just had a laugh when I saw it was one of your 'trick-pics' again!

So ...... Duck, or ..... Diver...? Must take a better look at those feathers!

    (Rolf, hands off just now!)

Well, I'm going to ignore my own advice and say Shoveler (f) - Anas clypeata

    - Although I am bamboozled by the white under tail feathers. That could make it a Northern Shoveler though, so it would stay in the family!

So now Rolf/other can give right answer!

Looked through my books and with the white unter the tail and feather pattern, I'd go for a Long-tailed Duck.

I'll guess it's a Sandpiper, no real pattern on head, orangey yellow legs and slightly down turned bill, would perhaps indicate a Purple Sandpiper Calidris maritima?

Well, I'm not sure that I've actually seen one, but I'm fairly sure it is a Water Rail - Rallus aquaticus

(Thinking that 'vr' is a contraction of the Swedish for 'water' - or 'water rail'?)
