There are so many Gulls - and I'm hopeless at identifying them!

Any chance of a clue, Crister?

Now, Crister, I've tried the name of every Italian area and Googled for anything like those... but no luck

Never mind. I'll try again later!

Yep, it has really nothing to do with Italy - it is more (like) in the area. LOL it is not easy to give a clue without not "clueing" too much.
In Swedish it is named after it´s head - pic is not that accurat

I was misled by your 'Swedish-style' clue, Crister!

    Part of Italy indeed!

Well, I guess the Mediterranean IS around it, but you got me looking at every region of the country....

Never mind! I won't be put off. Next time..........

Looks like a Buzzard - Buteo Buteo - to me...

[Can't tell if he's Rough-legged (as you cannot see his legs for the snow), or white eyed (as they're shut!) - so I'll just go for the 'Common' species!]

There - I SAID I'd not be put off... even when I'm wrong!

    I THINK.....

P.S. Why no lake, Crister? With the weather you've had this winter, you could have a skating party on it if you had one!
