Well, I'll try Black-tailed Godwit - Limosa Limosa - don't know why!

With that upturned beak the only one I can find to match is the Terek Sandpiper - Xenus cinereus

Rolf, I've never heard of that one, but I guess you saw 'ter' at the corner of the pic?

(After Beryl posted, I decided to try the other Godwit just to stop you getting there first.
Anyway, how do you know that either Godwit could not have bent its beak when getting it stuck under a stone?)

The site hung and it's gone . I was saying the black tailed godwit has a straight beak and the Bar-tailed godwit has a turned up beak
The Terek Sandpiper is rare in Britain. Theyisvery similar in looks to the Bar-tailed godwit

Hmm, I saved this bird before I did notice that You guys also read the name of the .jpg and started to find a bird with a similar name

I will try to remember to avoid doing that in the future.

No, I actually looked at my bird books. The Swedish name rarely is the same as the English name, so looked for the upturned beak and just as important, the pale orange legs, which sets it apart from the Bar-tailed Godwit, which has black legs.

This one looks like a Long-tailed Skua - Stercorarius longicaudus.

Tail looks a little short for a Whitethroat, beak not big enough for a Reed Warbler, so I'll have a punt on Marsh Warbler - Acrocephalus palustris.
