Well Rolf, not far away now but still I must say No.
BTW. this bird really show that she is a close relative to Tyrannus Rex.
Make her three times bigger and I would stay inside

Greater Spotted Eagle - Aquila clanga ?
Sorry, there are no spots on this bird
OK, this is the only other one which fits the photos, Steppe Eagle - Aquilla nipalensis
Coul'd be Rolf. It has a black beak surrounded by orange too
Ys Sir, that´s what I was waiting for
Stäppörn Steppe Eagle Aquila nipalensis

Yes indeed well done.
This next one will be easier
Purple Heron- Ardea purpurea ?
I think that's our friendly Grey Heron - Ardea cinerea.
Could be any of the four really
I was only going by the deeper colour of the beak
I think the beak colour is enhanced by the sunset.
Yep . Could be. You're usually right
Yes I picked that picture just becouse of the strange color settings
Still Rolf was right
Gråhäger Grey Heron Ardea cinerea I think it was a very nice picture

Still this bird is seen in Sweden as the picture is from a place close to me.
But it is not a flycather
House Finch- Carpodacus mexicanus Female ?
No it is not......
Think You need a better picture
Now, I'm going for a Rosy Starling
- even if it it's just to make the others feel more clever than me!
Well not that bad
Rosenstare Rose-coloured Starling Sturnus roseus
Well done !
As the photo has ros.jpg as it's name I should have taken that as a hint.
Well done Catherine
Now, I didn't SEE that, Beryl!
Can't believe I got one right - does that allow me a star beside my name or something?
Actually, got to admit something. Was looking up summer/autumn sightings near us last night, and came up with a pic of one.
I thought, 'That looks like Crister's bird!', then made a guess! So it was just luck that time!
(Should have said 'Rose-coloured Starling' - sorry. I think I'd also checked up on it on American sites, thus the other name!)
Well done Catherine
So, what shall we call this bird `?
This is also a re-run but the picture was so funny I just had to ask.
Tawny Owl - Strix aluco ?
Nice picture, is it not ?
Kattuggla Tawny Owl Strix aluco
