Hooded Merganser - Lophodytes cucullatus
Hooded Merganser - Lophodytes cucullatus
Well, close but not exact
Non of the other Mergansers look like it and it's not a Wood duck or a Golden Eye so I can't even guess. Rolf will have to
Perhaps a name problem again I will check !
Hooded Merganser (Mergus cucullatus)
Kamskrake][Hooded Merganser][Mergus cucullatus
It seams to have two names again
eNature: FieldGuides: Species Detail

Now You are closing in
Almost there now !
Montagu's Harrier - Circus pygargus
The only one I can find (and it isn't in any of my books) which may have the same underbody colouring is the Northern Harrier Male - Circus cyaneus.
Looks like you have found it Rolf.
It's the eyes. They look like an Owls some how.
Well done
Let me assure You that You are closing in.
But the door is still closed
BTW, this picture was taken during sunset, might have something to do with the colors
Hen Harrier -Circus cyaneus ?
It's not simply the colours Cris, it is the lack of pattern on the underside also, so have to concede here, have exhausted my research material.
Me too Cris. Sorry
ell it was just about time You been soo good in finding all my birds.
This could be something special then !
Here we go: Stäpphök Pallid Harrier Circus macrourus
Ahh, would never have guessed that, must have been very colourful light conditions.
The next one is an easy one I think but the picture is so funny that I couldn´t resist it
