Just a couple of things to do as talcum powder whafts every where. in this weather
Hmmmmm Have to think about this tune. It's very dramatic sounding.

You're right Chocky, very dramatic... also sounds off key! I have absolutely no idea - it doesn't sound even vaguely familiar so I don't think that I could even attemp a gues.. is it detectivy?
Ha ha. Most midis sound off key. I think I have to play this one at a low volume or my neighbourws will think some one has died.
It's probably some thing well watched but because the tune isn't catchy one doesn't remember it.
My hands now reek of bleach and the sun has come out so I will go off down to the estuary and into town humming this ....this ......tune? I may even remember the name.
It is indeed a "detectivy" sort of series from the very early sixties.
Oh it wasn't Lockheart was it I can't remember the name of the shoe=w But it started with inspecter Lockheart ina bBenly (I think) police car wityth bells lol
Nope, that was No Hiding Place
http://www.satellite-newbie.co.uk/sa...idingplace.mp3
That's it no hiding place. I used to really like that.
Oooooh Back to the drawing board
Could it be The Informers?
Nope, not the informers, it's American.
Oooooh. That narrows it down a bit
Not johnny Stacato that was Jaz. not Dragnet , too obvious
That's two elinminated maybe a 100 more to go. Lol
Very early sixties? No wonder I have no idea, I was only born in '62... I bet it wasn't repeated in later years either or I would recognise it.
If yopu have SKY every thing is repeted over and over and ob=ver and some time in duplicate each nightLol
It was one of my Dad's favourites.
Made into a film in the late 80s.
Ah. well that should help.
but I don'r know your dad.
Doesn't soind like Magnum PI. Does it?
Now that was good, can't remember the era
Remo Williams?
Nope and nope, lead character shared first name with the young boy in "ET".
Elliot Gould.?
Emm Emm Emm I'll probably get it now
The Untouchables?
That must be Elliot Ness... "The Untouchables"!! Was that the theme tune then? I knew the programme but don't remember the tune.
SNAP !!! exactly the same timing
Yes but who played Ness in the eseries. Connary in the film wasn't it ?
Robert Stack wasn't it? I always thought that it was such a silly name. Don't know why. But wasn't it Kevin Costner (spit) who played Ness - Connery played some Scottish accented Irishman - well he was always so good at accents
BTW, in case you didn't realise, I hate Costner. I can't understand why he had the fame he did - he can't act, has a dreadfully monotone voice and isn't exactly great 'eyecandy'. At least Connery had 'It' even if he wasn't the greatest of actors, and he looked good.
James Woods was SOOO much better but never got the roles.

Oh. I think Kevin Costner has a fantastic sounding vioce and was great in Dances With Wolves. Brillient film .
I have only seen him in a couple of things.
I thought it was Elliot Gould who played Elliot Ness in the serieas I really don't kow. I only saw a couple
Elliot gould would have been too young. Anyway, you got that one.
Next one is. Mystery Series 12
Well . That has to be The Lone Ranger.
Yep, thought that would be easy.
How about this one then?
Mystery TV series theme 13
Well I don't think I have heard that one.
Sounds amusing.
Yes, definitely a comedy series, from the 60s.
Oh right . I will cast my mind back to the TV room in Duchess Of Kent Barracks which I viseted about 4 times
No seriously I will have s good think
Oh and when you notice MASH let me know please, I'll have a watch of it and see if I agree it is /was good. Lol. Isn't MASH the enitials of some thing?
Wasn't Michael Bentine's Bumblees was it?
Nope - no idea here. Very vaguely familiar but that may because it sounds like something else I can't even come up with a suggestion as all that I can think of I can remember the tunes for.
and re M.A.S.H. it stands for 'mobile army surgical hospital'... it did exactly what it said on the tin
Oh yes. Now I remeber MASH. wasn't Donald Sutherland in it ?
Yep - hard to miss his ugly mug. Mind you, age had softened him a bit . He almost looks handsome now
You are right. I remember him in the Dirty Dozen . He was horridable
But with age he got better looking , most do.
Who else was in MASH
The same man played the little chap called Radar in TV and film... no idea what his name was but then I don't know what else he might have done anyway. I can't remeber who else was in it.
hmmm well it sounds like some thing to watch..
Now can watch what I like I'l,l try and pick up on it.
I still think thei tune is Misheael Bentine and the Bunbliees. it wasn't TW3 and I don't think it was The Goodies
OK, based on a farm in rural America.
Laurel and Hardy ?
