All Credit goes to Rolf . I didn't see he had put Lesser Kes' but he got it first
Well done Rolf
It´s pouring today and some thunderstorms are expected during the day.
So a water loving bird would be OK !
Cattle Egret - Bubulcus ibis ?
Not a bad guess
but still I have to say No.
Because of the colouring, I would say Squacco Heron - Ardeola ralloides, but I would imagine it is a pretty rare visitor to Northern Europe and Scandinavia.
Irt's thewhite wings thqatmake me think it's one of the Egrets
could it be the
Reddish egret Egretta rufescens ?
Well, it is not an every day visitor
Rallhäger Squacco Heron Ardeola ralloides
Well done.
So, here is a new bird for You
A warbler with a little beak
Read warbler - Acrocephalus scirpaceus
Looks more delicate than a Reed Warbler, I reckon given the body shape and the bold eye stripe, something like a Greenish Warbler, or perhaps Arctic Warbler. The legs look quite light in colour, so I'll go for the Arctic Warbler - Phylloscopus borealis.
Thing is they all look more or less the same
Your right . I can't visualize a Reed Warbler in a tree
Nordsångare Arctic Warbler Phylloscopus borealis
Well done !
Here is an easy one
Grey lag Geese Anser anser
<Mallards Anas platyrhynchos
Close but not right
Grey lag Geese Anser anser
Green-winged Teal - Anas carolinensis)
Yes, well done
Amerikansk kricka Green-winged Teal Anas carolinensis
Here is a wellknown bird
Pied wagtail - Motacilla alba
She was feeding her babies
Sädesärla White Wagtail Motacilla alba
A dark beauty
Black Tern - Chlidonias niger
Indeed
Svarttärna Black Tern Chlidonias niger.
Nice bird.
Wow Igot one right
More "kids" but I think it is easier this time
Mallard ducklings - Anas platyrhynchos ?
Yes, nice are they not ??
Gräsand Mallard Anas platyrhynchos ungar
Mallard - Anas platyrhynchos
Dosing with his eye open
Here is a new one for You all.
Red bill and short forked tail should make this a Caspian Tern - Hydroprogne caspia.
You forgot to say thet You can hear them, miles away
Skräntärna Caspian Tern Hydroprogne caspia
So, what could this be ??
The Snow Bunting - Plectrophenax nivalis ?
No, sorry
Skylark - Alauda arvensis ?

and again I must say No
Arctic Warbler - Phylloscopus borealis
It's a Pipit of some sort, but can't tell which one.
Probably a tree pipit - Anthus trivialis that is the only one with such a light front
