Snaps of Birds and other stuff on Holiday in France

Well this little duck was certainly popular, the boys were following her every move.

They do the sillyest of things to get her attantion and all she does is waddle off

Had never seen one of these before, saw it first thing through the haze, thought I'd even caught the song, but the batteries died in the remembird.

Very pretty bird though.

I found a new observation spot this morning, wish I'd tried it before today, as within an hour, I had spotted two new species.

This is a Black Redstart, very pretty bird.

Not sure which yet and haven't had time to look, will check it out later, but I thought it was worthy of a photo.

Edit. Checked out the Dragonfly and it is a Scarce Chaser.

The captures are super. The dragon fly on the right is a dragonfly , can't make out the one on the left, is it the same one at a differen angle?

Have you thought of making a portable hide for the roof of your van?
One you couls sort of clip on (some how) so it wouldn't get blown away.
and could fold up whaen not in use , kind of like a camo' tent in away?

Yes I have Chocky, something for the future perhaps. Certainly thought of getting a big camouflage sheet for the side, just a matter of getting around to it.

Ha ha. Or you could do what they did to Jonesy's van in Dad's Army and put little spy holes ineach side and maybe an obsevation turret on top .
No,not really but the camo' is a good idea
