This bird is what we like to see here in Sweden at Hornborgasjön.
They will come in hundreds when the spring is here.

You're going in the right direction Beryl, but now I've looked them up, I reckon it's the Blue Rock Thrush - Monticola Solitarius, this bird matches the patterning much more closely.
