Got me on this one, looks like a Dove of some sort, but can't find anything close.
African Green-pigeon - Treron calvus ?
Well done Beryl, I think you have it.
If not very similar.
I have a book on fancy pigeons but that one isn't in it. Some of the breeding that has been done to Pigeons is outrageous
Sorry, close but not really what I was asking for
OK The is it ......Grey-cheeked Green Pigeon Treron griseicauda wallacei ?
A very close relative I think
Green-Pigeon Treron waalia gulbröstad grönduva
I wasn't too fsr off then
This little beauty is called ?
Siberian Chiffchaff - Phylloscopus collybita tristis ?
Njet , it is not a Sibirian
Hmm, problem with these small warblers, they have very little to distinguish them.
This bird is a singer ok so far so good
And there are a lot of different types
How abiout a Juvenile Barred warbler, Sylvia nisoria, not very common in Sweden and i don't think we see them in the UK.
Well done Rolf
Höksångare Sylvia nisoria
Good finding
Here is a passing bird
Dunnlin- Calidris alpina ?
Calidris is OK but not Alpina
Stilt Sandpiper- Calidris himantopus ?
No, sorry
Curlew Sandpiper-Calidris ferruginea ?
Sorry but still a No.
How about a Knot - Calidris canutus?
That´s what I was waiting for
Kustsnäppa Calidris canutus
So, what is this ???
Not the clearest of pictures, but look like Reed Buntings to me, a male and a female. Emberiza schoeniclus.
Looks like you are correct Rolf
Here is a nice picture of a ???
Crested Tit- Lophophanes cristatus ?
Almost ! but not exact
Could be called Parus cristatus, which is the old name.
Thank you .
Now, what could this be ??
Aquatic Warbler Acrocephalus paludicola
Pete.
Close Pete but not exactly (If they haven´t change the name for this bird as well )
