Crows have shown that two tools are better than one when it comes to problem solving, scientists say.

A University of Auckland study has revealed that New Caledonian crows can use separate tools in quick succession to retrieve an out-of-reach snack.

Crows are intelligent birds. I know, I'm about to marry one :>. I tried ravens, but they don't like it when you spill whisky all over the fledglings.

Seriously (or not so seriously still), there was an article a few years ago about how crows had actually learned to steal windscreen wipers from cars (I made mine put it back). Perhaps they have now moved one step up the evolutionary ladder and have learned to use them - unlike us owls, who have to get the bottle-top off with our beaks rather than a stick.

True. But the beak is a bit difficult to get round them. Getting a sparrow to bash the bottle against a rock would be better.

That's what I like to hear, get those damned sparrows working.. all they seem to do around my place is wake me up early and eat the bird seed whilst teasing the cats something rotten
