Atticus Atlas Moth
I captured this giant moth on my hand at a butterfly farm at Buckfast Lee Devon on a day out last year.
Atticus atlas is the largest moth in the world in terms of wing surface area. It is found throughout Southeast Asia and is a common moth. It is a giant Silkworm moth and I thought you would like to see it.

It looks like a cardboard cut out.
With all of the butterfly captures and video I suddenly remembered it and thought it should be on view

Lol. It is enormous . It would suffocate one
I don't know about suffocating you if it flapped around your head in the dark, but it would certainly cure constipation
(trust me to lower the tone!)

Yes. I agree. My cats were dab hands at catching moths. Mind you I wold think one of these would scare a cat too
I'm not sure if my cat could catch it. The other day I was downstairs and could hear a 'tap, tap, tap' from, upstairs. At first I ignored it as I get a lot of spare noises coming from next door, but eventually I thought "WHat is that darned cat up to?". So I followed the tapping to the bathroom only to find her at the head of the bath with her front leg up in the air, her paw caught in the light pull!
I have to admit that my first reaction is to laugh and to want to just stand and watch her... but although I did laugh I did unpick her straightaway. I think mean, just try not to do mean
