    The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.

    Nice action shots Chocky can't say that I have ever seen a widgeon before not that I am aware of anyway

    Wigeons are lovely little ducks That whistle. The male has a moheakon type hair style . A blond stripe from front to back of his head And the drop in to the estuary by the hundreds.
    Oh and the males have lovely slate blur beaks it is the male that whistles

    I will try and find one. They stay so far out I have a video I might put up . Thing is the back ground is a flippin' baby seagull and the Wigeons are being quiet

    The only up-close Wigeons are on a very short video on the site in the video thread
    ( obviously)
