The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.

    Default Trip to Kintyre

Enjoyed a really nice trip to Kintyre in Scotland last week.

Superb digs but the weather wasn't too kind to us toward the end of the week. However, at the start of the week we had some lovely sunshine.

Did not manage to catch sight of a Golden Eagle but did manage to spot a Peregrine Falcon whilst walking through a forest. (it's not a great pic but a first for me). Plenty of Buzzards and Kestrals spotted. Whilst driving along the road each corner you took you were able to spot one or two Herons oh and the odd Rabbit or two.

Every beach seemed to have Pied Wagtails bobbing about along with Rock Pippit (Greg's pic) and Oystercatchers.

The Grey Seals were beautiful and didn't seemed to mind having their photos taken.

Whilst driving along the road we often had Goldfinches darting to and fro, they were always near the thistle which grows alongside all of the roads

The Gannets were fascinating to watch with their diving displays of fishing and I've never seen so many Cormorant.

The highlight of the week for us was the Milky Way, never seen a sky like it totally amazing

Thanks Chocky, we have already discussed booking for next year because we didn't manage to do all the things we wanted

Great captures. Seagulls never cease to fascinate.
Hope the weather is better next year.
