That is a really lovely photo, Beryl!

The colours are so delicate and your photo really shows up the fragility of the bee's wings and beautiful blue flowers being visited!

I always think of these bees as miniature Teddy bears! They are more sociable than other garden bees as well as you usually see quite a lot together on the one plant.

I love bumblebees. The male don't have stings in most species and the females rarely sting and if they do they don't die Where the honey bee is a very aggressive little bee even though social among themselves and die after it stings
