Default New front garden in winter

These are pics of our new front garden, the Field Maple in it, and some of our bird visitors.

Nearer the road is the remains of an Alder stump. We had to get it taken down as it was hanging over the road and damaging the Field Maple which it towered over. We think the Field Maple is much better on its own. The lowest branch to the left of it holds many bird feeders, which attract Goldfinches, Chaffinches, Greenfinches, 2 Long-tailed Tits, Starlings and House Sparrows. Blackbirds and Starlings feed on the apples on the ground, and a lone Pied Wagtail visits regularly for mealworms. We use the Alder stump to support a water dish.

Nice set up Catherine, still don't get wagtails, apart from when there's a sustained period of snow.
