Seen at Whitchurch on Thames, looks like perhaps be a Teal hybrid?

Not sure if there's any Teal or Wigeon (pinkish breast) blood in that bird, but I'm pretty sure there's a lot of Mallard in it, Rolf, the dark head and yellow beak (and perhaps that's a curl in the darker tail feathers?) giving some clues
These birds were on the River Doon in Ayr.
Heinz could never create as many varieties as the Mallard!
Yes, definitely something crossed with Mallards, as that's who he's hanging with, but it's the other side of the partnership which looks unusual.
Actually, that picture doesn't show the head properly, taken with my mobile, I'll upload another. Notice how small the head is and how short the beak is, plus he's much smaller than a straight Mallard.
The second image is a clip from a video.
Could that be Wigeon-related too though?
There is a Wigeon at the back of my last photo. That little guy has a pinkish breast and a very short bill as well.
Yes, probably was thinking of a Wigeon when I sent the original from the riverside.

Nice one Beryl, thanks.
I took some photos once whilst in Bromley and some one took one of the photos for their web site so I contacted them and proved it was mine they have credited it to me on their sit. I'll try and find the site .
They were bread by a lady called Mrs Campbell
I can't find the site with my photo on . Maybe it doesn't' exist now it was a few years ago but here is the info on them and you will see why you thought they might be Mallards of some sort: Khaki Campbell - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
