Near Cernay, Eure et Loire, Darcy my sister's Beauceron, trying out the new gentle leader harness to prevent pulling. Managed to get her to sit still enough for a photo.
Lovely dog! She looks worried that you might take her into the wash house for a bath!
(We had a 'Halti' lead like that for Croy, our Golden Lab, but he hated it, and turned his head to rub it off every time he wore it. He even skinned his nose badly trying to do that on the pavement. Good luck with it!)
I used it for several days on 6K walks Catherine, she didn't have a problem with it, it isn't like the classic head harness, just one around the neck, then one below the eyes and when she tries to pull, it gently pulls her head to the side and upwards to look at you. She has a very thick double coat and probably doesn't feel it too much, but it did stop her pulling too much, the idea is to use it as a trainer and then remove it, only using it again if she starts pulling.
She has nearly ripped my arm out of its socket on occasions when she's taken off after a hare, particularly when I was looking at something else with the bins, but with this she feels the sideways pull even before the long lead goes tight.
