TO LOAD LARGE TRANSFORMERS TO FLY DIRECTLY TO SAUDI ARABIA.
32 wheels! -- Costs more than my house to rotate the tires!
The World's Biggest Airplane, the Russian Antonov 225.
Attached pics are of the Russian behemoth when it landed.
While they were loading the compressors, the Russian pilots (two crews),
went into town to buy cigarettes by the case and Levis jeans.
It is amazing something this huge can stay in the air.
Interestingly enough, it loads from the front.
The Wright brothers would never have dreamed it.

It certainly doesn't look very 'eco-friendly', Crister, but an engineering achievement all the same!

Antonovs used to land at Prestwick Airport in Scotland. One stayed there for rather a long while - not sure if it had a mechanical problem or whether airport dues were unpaid!

It was a much darker grey that that one - but had the same, threatening, hawk-like wings when viewed from the front,
