    Default Red Ant moving a disturbed egg - (Myrmica rubra)

    I disturbed a nest whilst digging out an old plant pot, there were a lot of eggs and so a lot of scurrying about.

    This is one of the bigger ants - at first one of the smaller ones was trying but gave up so this one took over.
