Taken at Caversham today
Nice shots of a petty little butterfly Joe.
It's really beautiful, Joe!
Had I seen that, I'd have guessed it was a Speckled Wood.
Now I need to look back again at my 'Speckled Wood' pics to see if I have a 'Ringlet' one instead!
We have so many beautiful Butterflies in Britain!
I only id'd it from my book. It was a nice surprise as I've not got a shot of one before, and no-one on the site disagreed with my ID, so I am slowly learning
It does take a bit of time learning the ID's. I find that I can learn to ID something one season and if I don't see it again for a while I lose the ability... just like Homer, to make room for a new fact, one has to fall out the back
LOL, must be a family thing, I have the same problem.
I think I must leave behind me a trail of facts that have 'fallen out the back' then, Louise.
I should have a bag to pick them up and carry round with me so I can push them in again when I realise I've forgotten them once more...
Short term memory loss is beginning to strike!
..............What was this thread about anyway....................?
It's all down to "senior moments"
That wouldn't be so bad if the 'moments' didn't keep getting longer and longer
