    Brilliant little clip, an amazingly gentle touch from the strong animal. Looks like a baby Coot by the way, but possibly too young to be out of the nest.

    PS. Did you mean to type dumpling Chris, or was it near lunchtime and your hunger had taken over?

    IT's amazing how strong the parenting instinct is - if it's small and helpless then mammals often try and help... as long as they aren't hungry at the time
