Not really looked at these tiny nettle flowers before, but they are quite pretty. Lots of Foxgloves in the wood, Honeysuckle, plus a selection of others I have to check the names.
This is a great month for wild flowers!
The second pic is of a plant of the Nettle (or Lamium) family. Not all members of it sting, and many are garden plants used as ground cover.
When it becomes invasive (as one purple-flowering one often does) folks chuck it out under hedgerows, and it grows as a weed!
(Some pics of them here - lamium - Google Search)
The blue flower is of the Geranium, or Cranesbill family. I love their colour!
The last one looks like a Pink Campion, but you'd better check as it was a l-o-n-g time ago when I was in the Girl Guides!
Is that a yellow ladybird larva on the last shot? If so he's about to have a nice snack by the looks
They are some lovely shots, I've not really been out yet so haven't been able to see any lovely flowers. OOh, and isn't the details on that Lamium gorgeous?
Yes, got one with the lunch in focus as well.
Well done, Rolf!
I didn't even notice either of them...
Now I almost feel sorry for the Greenfly!
