Yesterday at Beaulieu - home of National Motor Museum. Palace House is the home of Lord Montagu, and it is surrounded by daffodils!
Beautiful scenes, Spring wouldn't be the same without daffodils.
That really IS 'as far as the eye can see'. Daffodils are lovely, and Rolf is right in saying that it wouldn't be Spring without them.
They were really lovely, Louise!
However, having planted a 'reasonable amount' in this new garden, and having a VERY sore wrist at the end of that time, I marvel at the patience and wrist-strength of those who planted them at Beaulieu!
Maybe they used an agricultural machine to do it?
Goodness, I can understand the sore wrist - it couldn't have been easy for you. But I hope that in Beaulieu they did use a machine rather than volunteers Still, it WAS worth it, it looks fantastic.
I decided to check out what the machine would look like and came up with this. Funnily enough, when I planted a small patch under grass I just lifted a turf and put them under... effectively what this thing does
