Seen a good film recently?

Sometimes I read of a 'Don't miss!' film in emails from friends, Sky TV, or in newspapers - and so often they turn out absolute rubbish!

On 14th Feb., I followed a Sky TV link to book one called 'Valentine's Day' from the computer - and it was just rubbish!

On the other hand, I came across, 'Leap Year' by accident. With its gentle Irish humour, we actually watched it to the end - and even Glen (who prefers a war or sci-fi film any day) really enjoyed it. Matthew Goode played the laid back Irishman SO well!

Have YOU come across a really good film recently?

Keep an eye out for "The girl with the dragon tattoo" Catherine, superb gritty thriller.

Is that a remake of an old film? I think I read about it on a news page yesterday!

Glen quite likes thrillers, but prefers historial war films. I prefer fun films or ones with an old-fashioned or period theme - so don't really get to watch too many!.

I loved musicals like Paint Your Wagon too, but you seldom see films like that now. Violence, 'action' and cgi seem to take over from any good story line these days.

Mike has seen 'The King's Speech' and says it's great!

No, this is the 2009 version Catherine, excellent film, works well because it doesn't have the Hollywood gloss. Haven't seen The Kings Speech yet, but will get around to it.

Inception is certainly one to watch if you haven't seen it.

Another worthwhile watch is Four Lions, funny and tragic at the same time.
