Fulmars at Bempton Cliffs RSPB reserve

Had never seen a Fulmar before, or at least not knowingly, so was delighted to find out what these were.

Hhmm, the beaks are interesting, but the plumage wouldn't stand out in a crowd of Gulls unless you were lookin properly, would they... so you could have seen loads But I love the way the grey feathers are ligthly edged with a creamy colour - it's like they've been drawn with soft pencils and lightly smudged the edging

Yes you're right, probably seen loads, but then when Gulls are in flight, I have real difficulties in recognising them.
