    Camera :- Nikon D3100 used with Nikkor 70-300 F/4-5.6 VR Lens. Compact Camera :- Samsung V5.0 Tripod : - Yep, Good One. Binoculars :- Nikon 'Sport Lite' 10x25.

    Default RSPB Otmoor Finch ?

    Brambling is my Guess, Maybe someone can recognize them better for me ?

    Not ablie to view on anything other than my mobile at present, but the small image would suggest Linnets.

    I agree with Rolf, Vastra. They certainly look like Linnets to me!

    I'm just about to up load pics of ones I saw at Milford on Sea the other day - when I've got them re-sized...

    I don't know either of the birds very well, but taking a good look, I think I agree. The reason for that is the pale marks around the eye and it does look like there is a red patch on the forehead as well as the chest - both of which are present in Linnets, but not the Brambling. As I said, I don't really know the birds and am only saying this from staring at a few pictures of the 2 birds
