    Default Lily Beetle - Lilioceris lilii

    A stunning creature, it's not been in my garden for a while as I got rid of my lilies due to the danger for cats from the pollen. I know that they are a real pest, but I couldn't help smiling whenever I found one - they are such stunning creatures!

    I had to pick it up as it was a very breezy day and it was swinging about in the wind too much

    Fujifilm FinePix S8200 plus Samsung J5 mobile phone camera. Chinon Compact 9-21 x 25 RB binoculars and 10x - 30x60 Zoom binoculars

    Wonderful shots - great definition and detail of a tiny, but none-the-less brilliantly engineered insect!

    Joe - I have no idea - I don't normally do very well with the one-handed shot, but I'me ever the optimist and keep trying. What really amazes me is that I succeeded with wind as well ( I mean - the wind was blowing!! )

    Catherine - I didn't know about it, although to be honest I rarely consider anything like that - there just seem to be too many people taking much better shots.... But I may well take a look
