He does look a bit mucky, perhaps he's been nesting in a mucky place, I see loads of them hanging around chimneys.

Yes. This one was rummaging around in the murky seaweed and Eel grass beds. And they are really disgusting when the tide has gone out but it's why all the migrant's birds come as it is vital to their survival so there must be some thing as all the little birds feed on it too

Yes. Not at this end where Eel grass beds are all the crows look tatty as well
