    Wonderful close-ups, Rolf - especially 1, 3 and 5!

Most of the Butterfies we saw on a New Forest Walk were a similar gold/orange colour.

There were Skippers, Commas and - another we couldn't ID - but probably a Fritillary of sorts!

Does that mean that you were at the 'Double Dutch' championships? Yes, a lovely set.

    LOL, yes, skipping championships.

Love the little Skipper butterflies, so busy and will let you get quite close.

They are lovely because they are so different from butterflies. They may not have the 'in-your-face' patterning, but such a lovely dark amber colour - and the wonderful formation of the wings!
