Taken on a coach holiday at Easter in Scotland.
Lovely photograph Toots, thanks for sharing it.
Great capture Toots. Nice work.
Wow Toots what a lovely atmospheric shot of one of my favourite places to visit. I love the colours and it could be mistaken for a painting, well done
Hope you don't mind me asking, but can you remember what settings you used when taking this shot, I am hopeless at scenes and need all the help I can get
your joking what settings Babs, I only use Program mode.
Has been tweeked in Lightroom.
Only learning to use the program with Digidarks help.
Just finding my way with the camera,
if I like it I take it.
No honest Toots I'm not, I think it's a lovely photo, I would be ever so pleased to take a shot as good as that. Honest I am absolutely hopeless. I am off to Scotland in September and know I will take hundreds of shots and everyone will turn out rubbish.
I experiment with the ISO settings and different modes but can't seem to get it right. Perhaps I should read my camera booklet.
Keep up the good work you are doing very well
Babs, has the 30D got an A-Dep setting on the wheel on the top I know the 300D has and have use this mode it works well. If you have it on your camera try it.You will see a varying number of green squares or what ever colour they are in your case. Its setting the focus and exposure, the focus has great depth of field (hyperfocal distance is the name)so should solve your prob.Thats assuming your camera has it.
Hi digidark, sorry if I sound very green but is a A-Dep setting short for something................ah ha I have just found it.....your'e not going to believe this but it is the first time I have seen it. I'm gonna give it a try, and take it from there. Thanks you for that tip, much appreciated
Well done Babs....you have time to practice before your Scotland Break
That is a lovely photo, Toots.
Babs - you may think that you are rubbish at landscapes - but your birds are blinkin' brilliant!!
Great photo Toots. I love that area of Scotland, you can get some great pics. Not sure, but I think I saw the Loch Ness Monster over on the right of the image. Silly notion I know, but maybe he's got sick of loch ness and wants some peace and quite!!!!! :lmao
Ha ha well spotted Spooks, I hadn't noticed the monster the first time
