    Default Marbled White Butterfly - Melanargia galathea

    This was a weird situation. I had been running about trying to catch one of these lovelies at rest (like most butterflies, they don't stop still for long), when I spotted one almost lying on its side (although not actually on the ground). A male spotted her and decided that she must be 'up for it' and landed on her and basically just crawled all over her. She wasn't doing anything and he eventually flew off, but she was there for a few minutes (maybe longer but I'd moved on by then). I assume that she was maybe on her way out.... didn't stop him trying though
