Red Kite - Milvus milvus
My goal to get a good shot of a Red Kite moved on one step today. I was on the bus going into town when I saw a low-down bird circling. It then seemed to drop to a house. I was, of course, unable to do anything without shouting "STOP THE BUS!!!".
Anyway, on my way back, I hobbled out of the bus and saw another Kite doing its stuff. It wasn't that low and looked like it might go the other way, but I decided to get the camera out, and whoo-hoo!! I got a cleanish shot of its backside
Next step - to get a cleanish shot of the front
