    I know, another CB Damselfly - but I at last managed to get a nice close-up of the eyes, which are such fantastic things! They look like a swirling vortex of colour that could suck you in

    Great shot - Scary eyes!

    Is that the same Sage leaf on which you captured other insects, Louise? If so, I wonder what attracts them to it. Do you think they like the strong herby smell - or have you wiped some honey on it?

    LOL, Catherine - well it's the same bush, though not necessarily the same leaf.. (I have an image of a queue of insects "...aren't you done yet, it's my turn! ) :-) I don't know why they like it so much - maybe, since it's dark, it warms them up more (and the bumpy surface might make it easier for them to cling on), although now the flowers are just starting to open so that will attract a few more insects.
    Mind you, I like Sage too and use it regularly so maybe they do just like the smell!
