    Default Willow Beauty Moth (Peribatodes rhomboidaria)

    I disturbed this moth in my Sage but I followed it to the Ivy. I managed a quick snap before I disturbed it again - unfortunately I had to lean over another plant to get to it and as I did it moved the leaves, so I didn't get to choose my angle.
    When I looked it up I thought "...well there aren't many Willows around here", but apparently they are happy enough with Ivy.

    It has a wingspan of about 4cm, so was easy to follow

    Shame with some of these moths, always seem to park themselves in awkward positions.

    They certainly do, I missed another 2 pretty little things today. One I followed a few times but kept disturbing it as I moved in, until it eventually flew over the fence

    Lol. A lot of them like to land on the underside of a leaf about 2 feet from the ground making it imposible to capture.
