    This chappy seems to missing a few feathers about his eye area.

    I spotted one like that here last week - and we have another poor BB without a tail!

    The males seem to be fighting more than ever just now. I'm not sure whether it's for females, territory or protecting their young, but they can be very vicious with each other.

    Of course, it could be feather mites to blame, but the battles that male BBs (and House Sparrows) are having just now must result in some damage.

    Yes, we have one here without a tail as well, haven't seen any totally bald birds yet this year, but I'm sure a couple will appear before the end of the season.

    I saw a pair fighting . I thought one was going to kill the other.
    Not very nice but I guess nature takes its pace
