A quick snap leaning over some plants so not as well focussed as I would like, but I think that these things are so beautiful. It's funny, but it's only since I've been snapping that I realised how lovely they actually are.
Yes I found the same, we don't take the time to look at insects carefully, there is normally so much more to them than is apparent with a quick glance.

Yes, they DO have interesting parts... In fact, their bodies are similar to those of the Dragonfly family, though not as colourful.
It's just those tickly long legs when they land on you.....(Itching at the thought!)
LOL - I remember an evening years ago when they were all flying in great numbers, and we all had to patrol the house to clear them out before my sister would go to bed
